CendanceGather

Bring services, teams, and attendance together.

Everything that happens when your community meets: planning services with run sheets, running special events, scheduling the volunteers who make it work, and counting who came, including the kids.

Built for worship, events, operations, and volunteer teams.

What's inside

Everything Gather covers.

Services and run sheets

Plan every service to the minute: each segment gets a start and end time, a name, and the person responsible for it. Build the order once as a template and load it into any week, then adjust for what this Sunday actually needs. The whole team reads the same sheet, so the morning runs on cues instead of last-minute texts, and when the service ends it stays on file with everything that happened.

  • Timed segments. Every entry carries a start and end time, and the sheet keeps itself in order.
  • Staffed by name. Assign each item to a real person from your records, with notes for the team.
  • Service templates. Capture your order of service once and load it into any new service.

Check-in

Check-in that keeps pace with a busy lobby: staff search the roster by name, people check themselves in at a kiosk by email or phone, and the counts climb live as the room fills. Children get extra care: every child's pickup code goes to their guardian by email or text, and a child leaves only when that code is presented. When a guardian has no contact on file, the team can still complete an audited checkout.

  • Self check-in. People find themselves or their whole household by email or phone at a kiosk station.
  • Guardian pickup codes. Codes go out by email or text, can be re-sent or printed as a tag, and confirm every pickup.
  • Live counts. Watch adults, children, men, and women tally as the service fills, then close with the totals recorded.

Special events

Everything beyond Sunday, planned in one workspace: conferences, retreats, outreaches, and worship nights. Publish a registration page, set free or paid ticket tiers with their own capacity and per-person limits, and watch reservations land as the seats fill. On the day, event check-in tells you exactly who came, and afterwards the whole story of registrations, payments, and attendance is on record. Speakers, vendors, and the planning task list live in the same workspace, so nothing about the event is scattered.

  • Public registration pages. Publish a page where anyone can reserve a spot, open to all or protected by a password.
  • Ticket tiers. Free or paid tiers with capacity, per-person limits, and sales you can pause or close at any time.
  • The whole production. Track guest speakers and their travel, vendors, and event tasks beside the registrations.

Serving

Volunteer scheduling that survives real life. Build a roster for each team, set the positions that need filling, and send the invitations; people confirm or decline from a link without signing in. When life happens, they request a swap, the teammate answers from their own link, and the roster updates when it is approved. Leaders always know who is on this Sunday, and every team's coverage is visible at a glance.

  • Rosters and positions. Plan each team's dates and the spots that need filling, then assign people to them.
  • Answer from a link. Invitations are confirmed or declined in a tap, with no account needed.
  • Swaps. A volunteer requests a swap, a teammate accepts from their own link, and leaders see the change.

Travel and trips

Group travel without the binder: every trip carries its destination, purpose, dates, campus, and lead coordinator. Build the traveller list from households, your people records, custom guests, or an email import, then capture every leg, air, rail, and road, with carriers, times, and confirmation numbers, plus the ground transport and lodging on the far end. A review step shows what is set and what still needs arranging, so nobody boards with an open question.

  • Traveller manifests. Add travellers from households, people records, custom guests, or an email import.
  • Every leg captured. Air, rail, and road segments carry stations, times, carriers, and confirmation numbers.
  • Readiness review. One look shows travellers, travel, transport, and lodging, and what is still open.

Automations and AI

Configure it once and Gather keeps working after Sunday: a first-time check-in starts the follow-up, five check-ins promote a visitor to a regular, and a broken attendance streak opens a task for the care team. Describe what you want in plain language and Cendance builds the automation for you; start from a template when you would rather not start from scratch.

  • Plain language. Say what should happen and the automation is drafted for you.
  • Templates. Common patterns, ready to switch on and adapt.
  • Across the suite. Triggers and actions reach across the Cendance suite, not just Gather.

And more

More you can do with Gather.

Member app check-in

Members check themselves in from the Eden app, and it lands in the same attendance count.

Kiosk links

Open self check-in on any tablet or phone from a short link, ready for the lobby table.

Attendance on the profile

Every check-in lands on the person's record, with history and streaks for follow-up context.

Service history

Past services stay on file with their run sheet and recorded attendance, ready to look back on.

Publish readiness

An event tells you what is still missing before its public page goes live.

Multi-campus aware

Every service is planned for its campus and trips carry theirs too, while special events can stay organization-wide, so each location's plan is its own.

Questions

Asked and answered.

How do we run our first Sunday in Gather?

Create a service, build the run sheet by hand or load it from a template, and open check-in on a tablet the same morning. Your people are already there, because Gather reads the same records as Cendance People, so there is no separate attendance roster to build.

What do our members experience?

Members check themselves in from the Eden member app, register for events on the public event page, and answer serving invitations and swap requests straight from a link. Attendance lands on the same record your team sees.

How is check-in kept safe, especially for children?

Access is deny-by-default: staff see only what their role grants. Every child's pickup code goes to their guardian, a child leaves only when that code is presented, and the rare checkout without a code is audited. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

What does Gather cost?

Gather comes with a paid Cendance plan. Start free with People, add Gather when you are ready, and the pricing page has the details.

Do automations cost extra?

No. Cendance Flow, the automation layer, is included. Describe the automation you want in plain language or start from a template, and it runs across Gather and every other product you use.
